The Global 8000 private jet is the new flagship of internationally acclaimed jet aircraft manufacturer Bombardier and it hopes to be even quicker, cleaner and fly further to make its mark on private and jet aviation globally.
Éric Martel, Bombardier’s President and Chief Executive Officer, said of the launch of the Global 8000 at EBACE2022:
“The Global 8000 aircraft leverages the outstanding attributes of the Global 7500 aircraft, providing our customers with a flagship aircraft of a new era. We remain unmatched, which for an innovation-focused team like us, is great."
Fly Farther and Faster with the Global 8000
The jet aircraft will be able to reach speeds of Mach 0.94 (1,000 KM/h) - making it one of the fastest business jets in production and enabling discerning passengers to reach their desired destinations more quickly and save precious time. The aim of the Canadian aerospace manufacturer is to have the world's fastest civil plane reaching near-supersonic speeds!
It's even reported that the Global 8000 has broken the sound barrier during flight tests. repeatedly achieved speeds of Mach 1.015 reports Simple Flying.
In addition, the new aircraft will be able to achieve an industry-leading 8,000 nautical mile range while still performing optimally over short flights and capable of handling almost all-weather conditions. The modern design of the wings and engines allows the Global 8000 to operate on "the longest range from even the shortest runways'.
This means the aircraft will be able to fly routes such as Dubai-Houston, Singapore-Los Angeles, and London-Perth.
Speed is not the only innovation of the Global 8000, as the business aircraft will also provide a healthy and tech-driven cabin allowing for unparalleled comfortable business travel.

A smooth effortless flying experience
Bombardier says the aircraft will be the “best-connected cabin in the aviation industry” and the business jet will be able to comfortably accommodate up to 19 passengers.
The configuration can include a club suite and also features:
- The bedroom includes a full-size bed, a large closet, a 32-inch TV, storage tables, and loungers
- Ensuite bathroom with a wardrobe, a vanity table, and a standing shower (as well as access to the luggage compartment located towards the rear of the plane.)
- A kitchen with a convection/microwave oven, sink, and refrigerator.
- A conference suite (used as a meeting room or a dining room for six guests)
- An entertainment suite with a three-person couch, large 4K TV, storage space, and Bombardier's l'Opéra audio system.
Bombardier says the improved features of the Global 8000 are intended to "maximise passenger comfort, health, and productivity." The 8000 will be 33.8m long with a usable cabin space of 16.59m.
The bespoke Bombardier Pũr Air and its advanced HEPA filter technology, combined with the “industry's lowest cabin altitude” offer among the "cleanest" cabins around. The system captures up to 99.99%* of particles, including viruses, allergens and bacteria and has an activated carbon filter that removes volatile organic compounds (VOCs), odours and gases.
The designs also reduce passengers’ lower back pressure with its Nuage seat and zero-gravity position means no matter what the journey, the 8000 will provide a comfortable and restful flight.

What tech does the Global 8000 have?
The aircraft also is fitted with a Soleil lighting system that offers “circadian rhythm-based cabin lighting fully integrated to the Flight Management System with a revolutionary Dynamic Daylight Simulation feature that can help combat jet lag.”
The Smooth Flĕx Wing, which Bombardier has engineered for maximum control and agility at all speeds will also add to the incredibly smooth journey.
From a tech point of view, the passengers can use fast and reliable WiFi connectivity from Ka-band worldwide, while Bombardier's touch dial and suite controllers (OLED touch dial control), easily can adjust and control sound, lighting, and temperature.

The list price of the Bombardier Global 8000 is USD $78 million and it is expected to start deliveries in 2025.
